Three Historical Landmarks

1. The Metropolitan Museum of Art

(5th ave and 82nd St)

The Met is the largest art museum in America. It also has private dining rooms where you can host special events while leaning on Roman statues.

2. The Botanical Gardens

(The Bronx)

The Botanical Gardens is more than pretty flowers. It also has a gorgeous library and museum with full kitchens. We went to a wedding there and it was fancy fun.

3. The Fraunces Tavern

(Pearl St and Broad St)

This spacious Wall Street pub played a prominent role in the American Revolution. It’s where most of the war’s strategic planning took place. The venue feels like a relic in time.

This place has a fancy executive chef and the best view of Central Park South money can rent. It sits atop the Museum of Arts and Design at Columbus Circle, and is a classic modern American restaurant that is elegant, romantic and ooh la la sexy.

9. DIY

Get drunk while enjoying not leaving your apartment

As they say in The Wizard of Oz, and on John Legend’s Christmas album, “There’s no place like home.”

Instead of blowing your budget on renting out an exclusive private space, host the party at your place. Put out a cheese plate or go all out with hiring a bartender and a private caterer. Then add on some unique live entertainment, like a comedian, musician or magician.
